Honestly so good. I never thought I would love it so much, and be able to understand it! All of the ideas and concepts are taught in souch a simple yet powerful way. I really recommend this course.

I loved this course and learned a great deal. Over the past 5 or 6 years, I've done over 30 courses via Coursera, and this was a favourite to the point where I almost feel mean giving it only four stars. However, a few issues are worth noting. First, this is quite an advanced course, aimed primarily at science graduates. Although the assessment is (it seems considerably) watered down compared to the on-campus version, it will still be very challenging if you don't have at least an advanced background in science at Year 12 level - and you'll have more chance of keeping up the pace if you have more than that. My own background is mainly in law and humanities, but I do have some limited scientific background, and I still found the course quite challenging. That said, the challenge makes success all the more satisfying if you achieve it. Just don't take it on lightly if you don't have the training to think quantitatively and pick up scientific concepts easily. More importantly, the course is already a bit out of date in some respects. The lectures seem to be from around 2014, with very occasional updates from 2017. If you're like me, you'll often find yourself looking for newer sources of information (even if only Wikipedia articles) to catch up with more recent developments in this rapidly changing field of knowledge. Finally, one annoyance was that too many questions on the quizzes (which are quite difficult anyway) are worded ambiguously or otherwise unclearly. Judging by comments in the discussion forums, this wasn't just me being thick but a genuine issue. It left me feeling annoyed when I was marked wrong on questions where I understood the subject matter but couldn't be sure what was intended by the question. That isn't a huge problem, since you can repeat the quizzes as often as needed to pass them (or to get 100% if that's your goal), but it's still something to be aware of if this kind of thing bugs you. All that said, I genuinely loved this course and am very glad to have done it. It probably deserves a bit more than the four stars I've given it.

A very interesting course, enjoyable and engaging. I appreciated the ability to extend deadlines if needed and go back and re-watch sections for better understanding. I would recommend the course even if your Maths and Physics are not advanced as mine aren't. I was encouraged by Mike's commentary to carry on with the course even if that meant skimming the surface for some of the Maths and Physics, and I was glad I did. It would have had a 5 star rating from me but some of the material is getting a bit out-of-date, i.e. the latest data on exploration of the Solar System. Thank you for the course.

Awesome course! A lot of information, I have been taught Master courses which teach you much less than this one. There are a few cons though. No Mercury, nor Venus units (they are barely mentioned through the entire course). And it would be nice to have access to the oficial notes, if there are, so we can take a look before watching the lectures ( I understand that this could be too much for an online course).

This course is excellent for anyone wanting to learn about the solar system and the processes that let us learn even more. The course isn't that hard and your given plenty of time to retake quizzes and re-watch lectures. The only downside is that the course is a little bit outdated since it was made back in 2017.
